When did you start Skiing?
My dad taught me to ski when I was 5 years old behind a 10HP fishing boat. I grew up on Choctaw Lake in Ohio, where learned to wakeboard through trial and error with my brothers and friends, through endless days on the lake, and surviving many crashes.
I’ve done 3 years of competitive show skiing with the Chippewa Lake Show Ski Team, and 8 years of 3-event skiing with CAWSC in Austin, TX. I have also competed in barefoot skiing competitions like Feet On Fire.
When and Why did you join CAWSC?
I joined CAWSC when I moved to Austin in 2017, was looking to meet other skiers in the area and get some ski pulls!
The people are the best part of CAWSC! I love the excitement of skiing, the great work out it provides, and that you can always improve your skills.
What is your favorite event?
I like to compete in all 3 events! More skiing the better. If I had to pick one, I think it would be Jumping as it provides such a fun adrenaline rush.
I just love the water and being on the boat with family and friends. I like to participate in any water sport event such as 3-event, show skiing, wakeboarding, barefooting, foiling, and surfing.
Where do you ski?
I mostly ski at Aquaplex, and also ski at FrameSwitch, San Marcos River Ranch and Lake Austin.
